The iDesk 8 for AiM is a mobile application designed to facilitate secure, real-time access to application data for field users on iPhone, iPad, and iTouch devices. Its functionality requires the purchase of the AiM Mobile server license, which enables users to view and interact with the AiM platform via mobile interfaces.

The application features a user interface specifically optimized for iOS devices, providing streamlined access to essential functions such as browsing assignments, recording time—including start and stop capabilities for time clocks—logging material usage, updating work statuses, entering notes, mapping phase or work order locations, capturing field photos, and launching directly into relevant sections of the web application. This design minimizes the need to switch between applications or screens during field operations.

An integrated web browser within iDesk 8 grants users comprehensive access to the full suite of AiM features. Users can create service requests, review work orders and asset profiles, access related documentation such as manuals and images, and visualize CAD drawings with dynamic thematic shading. Overall, iDesk 8 aims to replicate the desktop experience within a mobile format, supporting efficient workflow management in the field.
